In their “Heroes” series, CNN told the remarkable story of Kakenya Ntaya, a woman who is inspiring change in her native Kenyan village by opening its first primary school for girls. Intersect shot in an extremely rural village in Kenya’s Masai country, working without electricity and navigating the sensitive topic of female genital mutilation. The spot ran on primetime CNN and became one of the top 10 most-watched Heroes features.
