CNN HEROES - Vednita Carter
The CNN Heroes series profiled Minneapolis’ Vednita Carter, who has helped more than 6,000 victims of sex trafficking. Once a former sex worker herself, Vednita has built an army of survivors who have joined her crusade to end sex trafficking. Taking an empathetic approach to a difficult subject, we worked to make the women comfortable on camera while also protecting their identities.
